dc.description.abstract The object of this study was to examine the effect of rootstock and trellis system on berry weight and must quality of “Agiorgitiko”, a red winegrape variety, cultivated in the V.Q.P.R.D. area of Nemea, Greece. Study of rootstock effects involved two vineyard plots, plot A planted with 41B (V. vinifera x V. berlandieri) and plot B planted with Richter110 (V. berlandieri x V. rupestris). Trellis system was studied in plots C and D, positioned with two multi-wired trellis systems, a 3-wired vertical and a vertical shoot positioned with a single fixed and a pair of movable foliage wires respectively. Changes in berry weight, total soluble solids, pH, titratable acidity and potassium were monitored. Berry sampling began 75 days after full bloom and continued every 7 days until full ripeness. el
