Αξιολόγηση των μονάδων βλάστησης Φραγκοσυκιάς στον Νομό Φθιώτιδας

Abstract

H Opuntia ficus-indica (φραγκοσυκιά) αποτελεί χωροκατακτητικό είδος κυρίως στη νότια Ελλάδα. Οι συστάδες που σχηματίζει δεν έχουν μελετηθεί, σε ότι αφορά τα οικολογικά τους γνωρίσματα. Σκοπός της παρούσας έρευνας είναι η διερεύνηση των φυτοκοινοτήτων και των οικολογικών συνθηκών που επικρατούν, στις συστάδες Opuntia ficus-indica. Για την έρευνα αυτή έγιναν 12 δειγματοληψίες στην περιοχή της Φθιώτιδας και ακολούθησε στατιστική ανάλυση. Βάσει των αναλύσεων οι συστάδες εντάχθηκαν στην κλάση Artemisietea vulgaris και στην τάξη Artemisietalia vulgaris ως Torilis arvensis-Opuntia ficus-indica κοινότητα. Η κοινότητα φαίνεται να καταλαμβάνει περιοχές όπου υπάρχει έντονη ανθρώπινη δραστηριότητα, καθώς κυριαρχούν τα διαταραχόφιλα είδη. Επιπρόσθετα κυριαρχούν τα ετήσια είδη και τα θερόφυτα που αποτελούν σημαντικό δείκτη διαταραχής των οικοσυστημάτων. Η μικρή, αλλά σημαντική, παρουσία διαγνωστικών ειδών θαμνώνων και δασών (όπως το Quercus coccifera) της μεσογειακής περιοχής, υποδεικνύουν την υποβάθμιση αυτών των περιοχών και την πιθανή σταδιακή εισβολή της Opuntia ficus-indica. Η Torilis arvensis-Opuntia ficus-indica κοινότητα, στην περιοχή της Φθιώτιδας, φαίνεται ότι έχει ιδιαίτερο ξηροθερμικό χαρακτήρα, που προκύπτει από τα υψηλά ποσοστά των ειδών που έχουν απαιτήσεις σε φως και θερμοκρασία, ενώ χαμηλές είναι οι απαιτήσεις τους σε υγρασία. Ο χαρακτήρας αυτός είναι εμφανής και από τα υψηλά ποσοστά χαρακτηριστικών προσαρμογής στη βόσκηση και στις ξηροθερμικές συνθήκες. Η φυσιογνωμία της Torilis arvensis-Opuntia ficus-indica κοινότητας καθορίζεται σε μεγάλο βαθμό από την κυριαρχία των ετήσιων και βλαστοειδών ειδών, την έντονη παρουσία ειδών με αγκάθια και τρίχωμα καθώς και, κατά τη διάρκεια της άνοιξης, από τα είδη που έχουν κίτρινα και λευκά χρώματα στα άνθη τους.

Opuntia ficus-indica (prickly pear) is an invasive species mainly in southern Greece. The stands it forms have not been studied as far as their ecological features is concerned. The purpose of this study is to investigate plant communities and ecological conditions that predominate in prickly pear stands. For this research, 12 sampling was performed in the area of Phthiotida and statistical analysis followed. Based on the analysis, the clusters joined the Artemisietea vulgaris class and the Artemisietalia vulgaris order as Torilis arvensis-Opuntia ficus-indica community. The community seems to distribute in areas where there is intense human activity, as the synanthropic species predominate. In addition, the annual species and therophytes, which are an important indicator of ecosystem disturbance, predominate. The small but significant presence of diagnostic species of shrublands and forests (such as Quercus coccifera) of Mediterranean region phytosociological classes, indicates the degradation of these areas and the possible gradual invasion of Opuntia ficus-indica. The Torilis arvensis-Opuntia ficus-indica community, in the area of Phthiotida, seems to have a special xerothermic character, resulting from the high percentages of species that have high requirements in light and temperature, while their moisture requirements are low. This character is also evident from the high rates of adaptive characteristics to grazing and xerothermic conditions. The physiognomy of the Torilis arvensis-Opuntia ficus-indica community is largely determined by the dominance of annual and scapose species, the strong presence of species with thorns and hair as well as, during the spring, the species that have yellow and white color flowers.
