Abstract:
The aim of this postgraduate thesis is to explore experimentally the conditions
of water drainage in the bunkers in a Golf field in the Agricultural Hydraulics Laboratory
of Agricultural University of Athens. The implementation of this experiment took
the form of assimilation in an experimental tank made of transparent sheets of plexiglass,
at
the
bottom
of
which,
a
plastic
tube
drainage
similar
to
that
used
in
Golf
bunkers
is
mounted.
The
experimental
setup
includes
a
rainfall
system.
The
precipitation
is
achieved
by
piping
drip
irrigation
with
various
intensities
of
irrigation
/
rainfall.
The
experimental
results obtained are compared with corresponding computer data
through theoretical solution. The experiment procedure includes measurements of
the following sizes: 1) Measurement of irrigation / rainfall, 2) Basin time, 3) Runoff –
time curve, 4) Determining the available hydraulic head of the drainage system
