Επίδραση του τύπου του υποστρώματος και της συχνότητας άρδευσης στην ανάπτυξη των Thymus citriodorus και του Origanum aureum “hot & spicy” σε κάθετη επιφάνεια

Abstract

Στην παρούσα μελέτη διερευνήθηκε η συνεργιστική δράση της συχνότητας άρδευσης και του είδους υποστρώματος στην υπέργεια ανάπτυξη των ειδών Thymus citriodorus και Origanum aureum “Hot & Spicy” σε κάθετη επιφάνεια. Έρριζα μοσχεύματα των ειδών T. citriodorus και O. aureum “Hot & Spicy” φυτεύτηκαν τέλος Νοεμβρίου 2014 σε θήκες 0.5 l γεωυφάσματος σε κάθετη επιφάνεια. Χρησιμοποιήθηκαν τα υποστρώματα α)30 κομπόστ στέμφυλων: 30 περλίτης : 20 ελαφρόπετρα : 20 έδαφος και β) 30 κομπόστ στέμφυλων : 30 περλίτη : 40 ελαφρόπετρα. Όλα τα φυτά αρδεύονταν τρείς φορές την ημέρα για τέσσερα λεπτά τη φορά. Αρχές Μαΐου αντικαταστάθηκαν 14 φυτά (6 λεμονοθύμαρα και 8 ρίγανες καυτερές) που ξεράθηκαν λόγω βλάβης στο σύστημα άρδευσης. Τέλος Μαΐου 2015 κλαδεύτηκαν όλα τα φυτά στα 5 cm (3-4 οφθαλμοί ανά βλαστό). Tέλος Απριλίου 2015 διαφοροποιήθηκε η άρδευση, όπου μέχρι το τέλος του πειράματος μέσα Αυγούστου 2015 τα μισά φυτά αρδεύονταν τέσσερεις φορές την ημέρα και τα υπόλοιπα τρείς φορές, για τέσσερα λεπτά τη φορά. Η εγκατάσταση τοποθετήθηκε σε πλήρως εκτεθειμένο προς το νότο τοίχο του 2ου ορόφου του Γεωπονικού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών. Η ανάπτυξη αξιολογήθηκε μετρώντας τον αριθμό και το μήκος των βλαστών και τη διάμετρο της κόμης των φυτών μηνιαίως καθώς και το ξηρό βάρος του υπέργειου τμήματος τους στο τέλος του πειράματος. Η καλλιέργεια στο υπόστρωμα με έδαφος έδωσε μεγαλύτερο αριθμό και μεγαλύτερο ύψος φυτών από ότι σε υπόστρωμα χωρίς έδαφος στο T. citriodorus και στο O. aureum. Το υπόστρωμα με έδαφος έδωσε μεγαλύτερο ξηρό βάρος στο T. Citriodorus. Η αραιή άρδευση ευνόησε την ανάπτυξη του T. Citriodorus, ενώ η συχνή ευνόησε το φυτό O. aureum “Hot and spicy”.

Τhe aim of the present study was to examine the synergistic effect of irrigation frequency and the nature of substrate on the aboveground development of species such as Thymus citriodorus and Origanum aureum “Hot & Spicy” on a green wall. Rooted cuttings of T. citriodorus and O. aureum "Hot & Spicy" species were planted at the end of November 2014 in geotextile bags 0.5l on a vertical surface. The following substrates were used: a) 30 grape marc compost: 30 perlite : 20 pumice stone : 20 soil and b) 30 grape marc compost: 30 perlite : 40 pumice stone. All the plants were irrigated three times daily for four minutes time. At the begging of May 14 plants ( 6 T. citriodorus and 8 O. aureum ) were replaced because they were dried due to technical problem in system irrigation.At the end of May 2015 all the plants were trimmed upto 5 cm (3-4 buds per stem). At the end of April the irrigation treatments were applied until the end of the experiment. At the middle of August 2015, half of the plants were irrigated four times a day and the rest of them three times a day for four minutes each time. The installation was placed on a wall fully exposed towards the south of the second floor of the Agricultural University of Athens. Plant growth was assessed by counting the number of stems and their length and the diameter of each plant’s crown monthly, as well as the fresh and dry weight of their aboveground part at the end of the experiment . Concerning T. citriodorus and O. aureum, their cultivation in the substrate with soil produced more plants of greater height, and increased dry weights. The sparse irrigation favored the development of T. citriodorus whereas the frequent irrigation favored the plant O. aureum "Hot and spicy".
